Commentary from Rey Mysterio about Bad Bunny joining the LWO. Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega, who are stablemates in the LWO organization, defeated the Judgment Day team of Dominik Mysterio and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley on the May 5 edition of WWE SmackDown. After the bell, the Judgment Day ganged up on Rey, but the Puerto Rico audience was thrilled to see Bad Bunny defend the legend. After that, the LWO gave Bad Bunny a shirt, which he put on.
The WWE Hall of Famer reminisced on his unique return to Puerto Rico in a SmackDown Exclusive interview.
“Oh my gosh, amazing. I’ve visited Puerto Rico several times, and each time I feel at home. My first trip to this lovely island was in 2001, and the crowds were overwhelming. It’s been over two and a half years since I’ve returned, yet it’s as if I never left. I may have returned three times after that. This is a strong connection that we share. The fact that we represent every hard-working Latino in the globe through the LWO is not just strong, but they can see it. They are 100% behind us and feel it, Mysterio remarked.
When questioned about Bad Bunny wearing a LWO shirt, Mysterio said it was a privilege and an honor. He remarked that it was amazing to see the musician wear the shirt and stand up for Latinos. Prior to his bout with Damian Priest, Mysterio said he didn’t believe Bad Bunny required a boost, but he would be content if it provided him some type of advantage.
“We consider it a privilege and an honor for Bad Bunny to accept the shirt, wear it elegantly, and represent Latinos, who we also represent. It’s amazing. Since Bad Bunny would defeat Damian Priest tomorrow, I don’t believe he required abilities. I’ve seen him train, so I know it. He is committed and works hard. Since he was little, he has been a fan. But gosh, that would be amazing if that LWO shirt gave him some sort of ability. All Latinos are already represented to the utmost extent, he added.
Regarding Zelina Vega’s encounter against SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley at WWE Backlash, Mysterio was also questioned. Vega’s talent and hard ethic were commended by Mysterio, who also voiced his belief that she had what it takes to defeat Ripley.
“I’ve witnessed Zelina in action before. I’ve observed her grinding. She devotes a lot of time and effort to this activity, as I have witnessed. She is without a doubt qualified to hold the SmackDown Women’s Championship, in my opinion. That will likely occur tomorrow. Despite the fact that I lack Seth [Rollins’] prophetic abilities, I believe Zelina has what it takes to defeat Rhea Ripley, Mysterio remarked.
The purpose of the LWO was recently explained by Santos Escbar. Check out his remarks right here.
