Shinsuke Nakamura last wrestled on WWE television on November 11, 2022, but the Japanese superstar will return to SmackDown on the April 14 episode.
Santos Escobar defeated Nakamura in the opening round of the SmackDown World Cup, which was his final encounter on WWE television. The winner of the 2018 Royal Rumble for males has since participated in WWE live events, although his most recent appearance was in January when he defeated Imperium with Braun Strowman and Madcap Moss.
On New Year’s Day in Tokyo, Japan, Shinsuke Nakamura competed in The Great Muta’s final bout as that persona as part of the WWE Hall of Famer’s retirement tour.
The 14th of April’s episode of SmackDown will mark Nakamura’s comeback, however it is unclear if he will be participating as no opponents have been revealed.

In addition, Triple H appeared on SmackDown in Portland, Oregon, to make the announcement that the WWE Draft will return in “a few weeks” and that every WWE Superstar would be eligible to be selected.
On April 14th, the blue brand will feature Shinsuke Nakamura’s comeback as well as LA Knight vs. Xavier Woods.
